Mental Illness Or Demon Possession?

Origins of Daemons/Demons
This article does not discuss those demons that are found by Ghost Hunters and the paranormal kind. It discusses the kinds that are human possessions.
The Bible tells us of Demons and how bad and rotten they are. It tells us to stay away from them because they are evil. Satan is supposed to be the leader of those Angels or Demons and his reign is here on Earth or is the Earth. The Bible also says that Jesus cast out demons and there were many of them. We now know what they are today as will be shown in this article. Jesus said that we would do greater things than he. If you believe in him then you must believe in mental health and that we can through knowledge cast out our own demons.

The origin of Daemon / Demon is Greek. The original daemons were intelligent, sensible guardian spirits. In the Bible and taught by religions they are now malicious, deviant, horrible creatures here to take your soul.

Characteristics of Deamons/Demons
Daemons are used by the church to inflict fear into others. Some of the things that Demons do are possess weak individuals. They are like leaches and attach to persons who have gone through a physical trauma. They can be hereditary and can kill an individual by sucking all their energy from them. How they can inflict their presence onto humans include loss of energy, fatigue, paranoia, depression and irritability.
Very different than the original form and description of daemons from the Greek perspective huh?
There is a writer here that has done some research about who Lucifer was/is too that you may want to take a look-see and read: LUCIFER

Mental Illness Medical Implications
There are many mental illnesses that are often mis-understood and feared. Mental Illnesses are a biological malfunction in the brain. Most can be corrected with the right kind of therapy. Mental Illnesses cause a person to do many irrational things and some mental illnesses are hereditary. Of the major Mental Illnesses people will seem fine one moment and be totally different another and some will never know what they did while in the other state of mind. Mental Illness has no barriers and can affect those of any age, race, religion income or sex.
A few movies that come to mind for you to view about these types of illnesses are "The Three Faces of Eve" and "SYBIL" Both deals with Multiple Personality Disorder and is available at Amazon.com and is listed on this site.

Major Mental Illness Symptoms
For correct descriptions I will be quoting text from: National Alliance On Mental Illnesses
Mania is the word that describes the activated phase of bipolar disorder. The symptoms of mania may include:
·        either an elated, happy mood or an irritable, angry, unpleasant mood
·        increased physical and mental activity and energy
·        racing thoughts and flight of ideas
·        increased talking, more rapid speech than normal
·        ambitious, often grandiose plans
·        risk taking
·        impulsive activity such as spending sprees, sexual indiscretion, and alcohol abuse
·        decreased sleep without experiencing fatigue

What is Manic Depression?
The onset of the first episode of major depression may not be obvious if it is gradual or mild. The symptoms of major depression characteristically represent a significant change from how a person functioned before the illness. The symptoms of depression include:
·        persistently sad or irritable mood
·        pronounced changes in sleep, appetite, and energy
·        difficulty thinking, concentrating, and remembering
·        physical slowing or agitation
·        lack of interest in or pleasure from activities that were once enjoyed
·        feelings of guilt, worthlessness, hopelessness, and emptiness
·        recurrent thoughts of death or suicide
·        persistent physical symptoms that do not respond to treatment, such as headaches, digestive disorders, and chronic pain
When several of these symptoms of depressive illness occur at the same time, last longer than two weeks, and interfere with ordinary functioning, professional treatment is needed.

What is Schizophrenia?

The symptoms of schizophrenia are generally divided into three categories -- Positive, Negative, and Cognitive:
·        Positive Symptoms, or "psychotic" symptoms, include delusions and hallucinations because the patient has lost touch with reality in certain important ways. "Positive" refers to having overt symptoms that should not be there. Delusions cause individuals to believe that people are reading their thoughts or plotting against them, that others are secretly monitoring and threatening them, or that they can control other people's minds. Hallucinations cause people to hear or see things that are not present.

·        Negative Symptoms include emotional flatness or lack of expression, an inability to start and follow through with activities, speech that is brief and devoid of content, and a lack of pleasure or interest in life. "Negative" does not refer to a person's attitude but to a lack of certain characteristics that should be there.

·        Cognitive Symptoms pertain to thinking processes. For example, people may have difficulty with prioritizing tasks, certain kinds of memory functions, and organizing their thoughts. A common problem associated with schizophrenia is the lack of insight into the condition itself. This is not a willful denial but rather a part of the mental illness itself. Such a lack of understanding, of course, poses many challenges for loved ones seeking better care for the person with schizophrenia.
Schizophrenia also affects mood. While many individuals affected with schizophrenia become depressed, some also have apparent mood swings and even bipolar-like states. When mood instability is a major feature of the illness, it is called schizoaffective disorder, meaning that elements of schizophrenia and mood disorders are prominently displayed by the same individual. It is not clear whether schizoaffective disorder is a distinct condition or simply a subtype of schizophrenia.

What is Borderline Personality Disorder?

Borderline Personality Disorder:

A pervasive pattern of instability of interpersonal, self-image, and affects, and marked impulsivity beginning by early adulthood ** and present in a variety of contexts, as indicated by five (or more) of the following:
1) Frantic efforts to avoid real or imagined abandonment.
Note: Do not include suicidal or self-mutilating behavior*** covered in Criterion 5.
2) A pattern of unstable and intense interpersonal relationships characterized by alternating between extremes of idealization and devaluation.
3) Identity disturbance: markedly and persistently unstable self-image or sense of self.
4) Impulsivity in at least two areas that are potentially self-damaging (e.g., spending, sex, substance abuse, reckless driving, binge eating).
Note: Do not include suicidal or self-mutilating behavior*** covered in Criterion 5.
5) Recurrent suicidal behavior, gestures, or threats, or self-mutilating behavior***.
6) Affective instability due to a marked reactivity of mood (e.g., intense episodic dysphoria, irritability, or anxiety usually lasting a few hours and only rarely more than a few days).
7) Chronic feelings of emptiness.
8) Inappropriate, intense anger or difficulty controlling anger (e.g., frequent displays of temper, constant anger, recurrent physical fights).
9) Transient, stress-related paranoid ideation or severe dissociative symptoms.
*Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, published by the American Psychiatric Association
** Data collected informally from many families indicate this pattern of symptoms may appear as early as the pre-teens
***The preferred term is self-harm or self-injury

Important Considerations about Borderline Personality Disorder

1. The five of nine criteria needed to diagnose the disorder may be present in a large number of different combinations. This results in the fact that the disorder often presents quite differently from one person to another, thus making accurate diagnosis somewhat confusing to a clinician not skilled in the area.
2. BPD rarely stands alone. There is high co-occurrence with other disorders.
3. BPD affects between .07 to 2% of the population. The highest estimation, 2%, approximates the number of persons diagnosed with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.
4. Estimates are 10% of outpatients and 20% of inpatients who present for treatment have BPD
5. 75% are women. This number may, in part, reflect that women more often seek treatment, that anger is seen as more acceptable in men, and that men with similar symptoms often enter the penal system receiving a diagnosis of antisocial personality.
6. 75% of patients self-injure.
7. Approximately 10% of individuals with BPD complete suicide attempts.
8. A chronic disorder that is resistant to change, we now know that BPD has a good prognosis when treated properly. Such treatment usually consists of medications, psychotherapy and educational and support groups.
9. In many patients with BPD, medications have been shown to be very helpful in reducing the severity of symptoms and enabling effective psychotherapy to occur. Medications are also often essential in the proper treatment of disorders that commonly co-occur with BPD.
10. There are a growing number of psychotherapeutic approaches specifically developed for people with BPD. Some of these have been in use, tested in research trials, and appear to be very effective; the newer ones are very promising.
11. These and other treatments have been shown to be effective in the treatment of BPD, and MANY PATIENTS DO GET BETTER!

Theories of Origins and Pathology of Borderline Personality Disorder

At this point in time, clinical theorists believe that biogenetic and environmental components are both necessary for the disorder to develop. These factors are varied and complex. Many different environments may further contribute to the development of the disorder. Families providing reasonably nurturing and caring environments may nevertheless see their relative develop the illness. In other situations, childhood abuse has exacerbated the condition. The best explanation appears to be that there is a confluence of environmental factors and a neurobiological propensity that leads to a sensitive, emotionally labile child.

There are many more Mental Illnesses. Some of those are alcoholism and some symptoms such as those above will show up in adverse reactions to some prescription and OTC drugs.

What is an Epileptic Seizure?
In Conclusion
Medical and scientific knowledge was not known to those who wrote the books and letters of the Bible. They had no idea what a Mental illness was. Knowledge is power and wisdom to know and accept the truth is even better. We all fear the unknown. Those who act different or erratic are not possessed by demons. Religions try to keep the knowledge from the people and they instill fear of the unknown. Everything that they don't understand is evil or a demon or of the Devil or Satan. This simply is not the case. Most times the unknown is not scary at all but is a good thing. So before you think someone is possessed think again. They may need medical/mental help or they may be having an adverse reaction to a drug they have taken.
*NOTE: As I was researching the internet for what symptoms Demon Possession where I kept seeing most of the symptoms listed above. One other important thing that I also noticed was the many people that are taught that these are demons when the person is coming away from the church. That is one obvious sign that the church they belonged to is a Cult because they will demean anything that person trying to leave as much as possible even as far as getting them to lose their job and family members.

What are Amino Acids and What Do They Do For You

Amino Acids,
The Building Blocks Of Life
Amino acids are so important for every function of life. They are the actual building blocks of life and in every protein known to humans. There are approximately 29 of them, each as important as another. They make up the proteins and enzymes. Every living animal depends on them to live. Amino acids that are linked together will form more than 50,000 proteins and 20,000 enzymes as we know today. Each amino acid has a specific purpose and they cannot change and contain approx. 16 percent nitrogen. This is what distinguishes them from carbohydrates and fat in the body. We need nitrogen to function as well and water.
The function of Amino Acids is to incorporate the vitamins, minerals, enzymes and proteins into the body. The cycle of using, restoring and renewing of these is a continuous function of enzymes and proteins used by the body It is easy to deplete the body of certain amino acids and that is why it is so important to get back to basics of knowing what your body needs and figure out what it is missing. It is important for your health and life. It is so important that without all the correct amino acids that central nervous system cannot function. They are important for the brain to function and send messages properly to the rest of the body.
The amino acids that your body does produce are: alanine, arginine, aspartic acid, asparagine, glutamic acid, glutamine, glycine, praline and aerine. Those that require you to eat your food to get them are: arginine, histidine, isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, threonine, tryptophan and valine. They will be divided up into smaller blogs so that you don’t have to go looking at a long blog to find a certain one.
The body will become unbalanced if there is a deficiency of one or more amino acids. When this happens it causes many diseases and afflictions to occur in the body. A few of these are cancers, diabetes, heart disease, blood disorders, mood disorders, to improper wound healing, depression and proper cell, muscle and tissue growth. If the body becomes deficient in any one of these no matter what kind or how many vitamins and minerals you take they just will not be incorporated into the body. They all need one or several of these amino acids to work properly for your body to function at an optimal level.

Some Amino Acids are made by our own bodies and some you have to get from food sources. You just have to eat your food to get these most needed building blocks of life. No way around it. Most Amino Acid supplements come from eggs, yeast or animal protein. The crystal forms are from various grains. Brown Rice, Milk and cold-pressed yeast are good sources of these. Vegetarians need to be watchful of this because they may not be getting the proper levels of certain important amino acids their body needs to function properly.
When taking these supplements individually always take them on an empty stomach. They will go directly to the brain so that it can incorporate it into the body and send them where the body needs them. These nutrients tend to compete with each other and that is why it is best to take them individually.
 Amino Acids A - C

L-Alanine: This aids in the metabolism of glucose. This is a very important amino acid to have for those with diabetes.
L-Arginine: hinders cancers and tumors. It helps in the detoxification of the liver and helps the body release important hormones. It’s other functions include: detoxifies ammonia in the blood, increases sperm count, increases muscle mass and reduces body fat, helps the body through trauma and helps with kidney disorders. It is highly present in scar tissue, and is needed for protein synthesis.
One precaution: not good if you are pregnant or breast feeding.
L-Asparagine: Keeps your central nervous system in check so you are not too nervous or calm.
L-Aspartic Acid: This is a very important amino acid because it helps in cell formation and your DNA/RNA. This amino acid increases energy and a deficiency of this could be the cause of Chronic Fatigue. As with the previous Amino Acid this one also protects the liver. It binds with other amino acids to rid the body of toxins.
L- Carnitine: prevents fat buildup, helps in weight loss, lessens the risk for heart disease and helps improve energy and stamina. This amino acid naturally occurs in the body but if there is a lack of lysine, Vitamins B1, B6 and Iron it will hinder it’s manufacturing of this nutrient the body needs. It is good to take this amino acid with Vitamin C and E.
L- Citrulline: works with L-Arginine to detoxify the liver of anomia and stimulates the immune system.
L-Cysteine: protects cells from radiation, smoking and alcohol and is high in sulfur. When taken with selenium and Vitamin E it is the most powerful anti-oxidant ridding the body of free radicals. For this amino acid to do the job properly Vitamin B6 needs to be in the blood. It also helps with rheumatoid arthritis.
L-Cystine: this amino acid is also high in sulfur. It regulates copper in the body, helps in wound healing from burns and post-surgery. It is an important amino acid as it aids in skin formation. It is good for respiratory diseases such as Bronchitis and aids in the health of the body’s white blood cells. Diabetics would benefit from taking this as it helps the supply of insulin the pancreas produces.
 Amino Acids D - I

Gamma-Aminobutyric Acid or GABA prevents cells from over firing and can be taken as a tranquilizer such as valium, Librium and other tranquilizers without the fear of becoming addicted to them. All it takes is 750 milligrams for this to lull you off into dreamland. Taken with Niacinamide and inositol it produces a calming effect and lessens neuron activity in the central nervous system.
L-Glutamic Acid or Glutamate does the opposite of GABA. It helps to metabolize sugars and fats and also like the many other amino acids, detoxifies ammonia which is harmful for living cells. For this to occur it is best taken with L-glutamine. This is the only amino acid that is used for brain fuel and helps correct personality disorders by regulating brain cell activity.
L-Glutamine: An excellent amino acid to help stop the craving for sweets as with alcoholism, It is also helpful in aiding the body of mental illness, tiredness, impotence, epilepsy, senility, schizophrenia, and maintains a health digestive system. It increases the use of GABA that is needed by the brain and very important for cerebral function. When taking this DO NOT substitute Glutamic Acid with Glutamine, it will not be as effective in the treatment of alcoholism.
L-Glutathione: This one also helps protect the body from cigarette smoking and radiation damage. This is good for those going through chemotherapy and x-rays. It also aids in alcohol poisoning and detoxifies the body of metals and aids in the treatment of disorders associated with the liver and blood.
L-Glycine: Supplies creatine, which inhibits degeneration of muscles, and is important for a healthy prostrate, prevents epilepsy and is used in the treatment of Bi-Polar disorder. It is needed for proper synthesis of other amino acids. The proper amount of this amino acid produces more energy while too much will cause problems with glucose levels and produce fatigue.
L-Histidine: Histamine is the most popular name of this amino acid but it is only formed from this. Both of these can be used to rid excessive copper from the body. Its main functions are in the digestive system. It is important for the growth and reparation of tissue, hyperacidity, stomach ulcers regulation of gastric juices and aids in digestion. Other than treatment for allergies it is also used for Rheumatoid Arthritis, anemia and also produces red and white blood cells.
L-Isoleucine: Stabilizes the blood sugar, energy and is used for hemoglobin and is metabolized in the muscles. It is best if taken with leucine and valine. Symptoms of a lack of this amino acid appear similarly to hypoglycemia.

Amino Acids J - Z

L-Leucine: Lowers blood sugar and must be taken with the amino acids isoleucine and valine. It helps in the healing of bones, skin and muscles. Leucine needs to be taken in MODERATION because if you take too much you will develop hypoglycemia.

L-Lysine: Important for growth in children and for their proper bone development. In adults it is good for the absorption of calcium and nitrogen. This amino acid has many functions that include; healing of cold sores and herpes virus, helps the body in producing antibodies, enzymes, hormones, and the formation of collagen to repair damaged tissue. It also helps rebuild muscle tissue due to sports injuries and those recovering from surgery. It also helps in lowering high serum triglycerides. A deficiency of this amino acid causes fatigue, inability to focus, bloodshot eyes, loss of hair, anemia, slowed growth and reproduction problems.

L-Methionine: This amino acid must be obtained from food sources or suppliments such as choline or lecithin. It is not manufactured in the body. It is important for sulfur, among the things that this amino acid is important for are; treating Rheumatic fever, toxemia and prevents buildup of harmful fats in the liver and the arteries. It aids the digestive system, detoxifies harmful substances out of the body with the help of other nutrients, helps muscle weakness, and helps to prevent brittle hair. It also helps in chemical sensitivities and osteoporosis. L- Methionine may need the help of L-Cysteine and L-Taurine to function properly.
L-Ornithine: Be very careful when giving this to children. Please ask your pediatrician before doing this as it can mess up their growth hormones. For adults it metabolizes excess fat when it is used with L-Arginine and L-Carnitine. It is important for the function of the liver and the immune system and aids in healing and detoxifies ammonia.
L-Phenylalanine: Although this amino acid is good for depression, memory loss and is used by the brain to make neurotransmitters. It cannot be used by pregnant women, those with PKU or those who have had pigmented melanoma (a type of cancer). It elevates moods, helps learning and obesity and decreases pain due to migraines, menstruation and arthritis. It also helps those suffering from depression to overcome this condition.
DL-Phenylalanine: Another one with a warning. Do not use if you are pregnant, diabetic or have High Blood Pressure. Its uses are decreasing pain in arthritic patients, increases mental alertness; suppress the appetite, making this a good one to take if you are losing weight. It also aids in Parkinson’s Disease.
L-Proline: This is a good one for aging skin as it builds collagen heals cartilage, makes joints the tendons as well as heart muscle stronger.
L-Serine: is needed for overall health and helps to produce immunohemoglobin and antibodies.
L-Taurine: This building block of all other amino acids is found plentiful in the heart muscle and skeletal muscle as well as white blood cells and the central nervous system. It is largely present in the bile. It promotes digestions of fats, aids in heart problems, hypoglycemia, atherosclerosis, hypertension and edema. It is needed for digesting fats, incorporating fat soluble vitamins and controls serum cholesterol levels. A deficiency of this amino acid causes epilepsy, anxiety, hyperactivity and poor brain function. This amino acid is not found in animal proteins so it is important the body has this. It may come from cysteine and require vitamin B6 to metabolize correctly.
L-Threonine: This amino acid is important for the liver and lipotropic function when taken with aspartic acid and methionine. It helps to control Epileptic seizures. It is found in the heart and skeletal muscles and in the central nervous system.
L-Tryptophan: This amino acid has been banned by the FDA since 1989. If you need information on this amino acid please talk to your physician. The FDA claims that a condition named EMS (eosinophilia-myalgia syndrome) had happened to many people using L-tryptophan and some had died from the condition.
L-Tyrosine: Treats those with mental health problems such as anxiety, depression, and mood disorders and has been used for the withdrawal from drugs. It also aids in the treatment of allergies, insomnia, hypothyroidism, suppresses the appetite, reduces body fat. A deficiency of this triggers a lack of release of norepinephrine which causes depression and mood disorders. It metabolizes dopamine and epinephrine in the body.
L-Valine: When taken with leucine and isoleucine it has a stimulant effect and aids in better muscle metabolism, nitrogen balance and tissue repair.

Childhood Obesity and What You Can Do To Stop It.

You Got To Move This, Childhood Obesity Solutions

Obese Child

Advertising Space - After your Hub is published advertisements may be placed in this space.
It seems like everywhere you look there is a story of Obesity in Children. You see it on the news all the time. They want to change the lifestyle of children from the very home they live in to the schools they attend to even what they eat.
When I went to school we didn't have the mass media that distorted stories to the heights that they do today. Most people minded their own business when it came to how they raised their own children.
Today it is a much different story. Today we see ads andnews articles and stories abounding with the focus on Obesity. The reports are shocking! It is said that the amount of obesity in children has raised some 33% in the last however number of years. Do the math and look at the children in those schools. We are focusing on a very small group of children. Not every single child that eats aschool lunchor a "fat" lunch by today's standards turn out to be obese.
Just by observiation of the last 30 years since I was in Elementary school to when my own children attended school things have been changed dramatically in the school system. They changed some things and now they are dealing with the consequences
Sometime in the 80's the government came up with a plan to remove Physical Education from the daily curriculum. I think it was due to how those people saw how other countries children weresmarter than us. It was that comparison that got the wheels turning in some people's minds that if we stress more of production and more fundamental learning such as Math and Science that we would be greater than those other countries. At that point in time I really don't think that they considered the full outcome of their decision.

How Did We Get This Way

When I was growing up there weren't a whole lot of obese childrenaround. There may have been a few, but they weren't plastered all over the news and on billboards or in the newspapers, medical journals and television for all to see. They had jeers and pokes from the other children but we were raised to not make fun of anyone else--or at least that is how I was raised.
Growing up in the 60's and 70's we didn't have the technologythat we have today. Computers seem to rule our world now more than ever. It wasn't always like that. No one ever thought of a Personal Computer or a Wii system. Though I don't have problems with theWii systems because you can get games that include physical activity.
I kind of get a good chuckle when I think of the difference back then, and it wasn't that long ago, and the the things that we have now. I seem to remember that we really weren't headed into a society where everything that you take for health is in That Pill That You Took Today. Is this where we wanted to end up? It kind of scares me to know how fast we got here as to how fast we will get to another milestone in which we have told ourselves that we will not be like that.
In the 80's our leaders looked around at the way that other nations raised their children. They saw smarter kids and more technology being made. They watched the kids in those classrooms in those other nations and we wanted the same. We watched as China raised their children and how they schooled them. We wanted smarter children too. so they started making changes to the school curriculum. They put more pressure on the school systems to foster more smarter children and they revamped the standards of learning. They also took Physical Education out to afford a more learning environment. I guess they thought that only the brain learns while it is a state of being occupied with numbers and science and all sorts of things and the body doesn't need any of that stuff. They are to be trained from the first day of school to be mind machines so that we can be smarter than other nations or as it is said, "Better Than The Joneses". We are constantly comparing ourselves and try to be in the number one spot in everything, from how we eat to what our technology will be in the future to war craft and so on. Has it made us smarter or better?

Underweight Child

What Are We Doing

Do we really know what we are doing and what the consequences will be? Now that they have taken just about any physical activity out of our schools curriculum we are finding all kinds of things and situations that we didn't bargain for. Obesity is one of them and another is the restlessness of students that display aggression to the max including all those killing sprees. In order to cut down on the Obesity the medical field is pushing that we also need to adjust the school lunch program. They have gone as far as blaming the parent's in their choices of foods. What a few have done for technology sake is being brought down the line and is now being blamed on the parents. The parent's aren't the ones who chose to take physc=ical activities out of the schools. They didn't opt for more hours at work or that the system would get so out of hand that both parents have to work outside the home just to have decent home for their children. They didn't make the rule that changed the curriculum just because we wanted smarter children!
Focusing on obesity in children is a very bad example to set for the kind of adults that we want to foster our future. I am on Face Book and do get the news feeds and nutritional updates and news articles and that is about all the media and the news and studies are focusing on--OBESITY, not only in children but adults as well. When we focus so much on a negative we are going to get a negative back. We have the medical industry focused on getting people thinner by someone's standards. Who that someone is/was needs to be brought out into the public view. Then you have the Pharmaceuticals telling us that they have a cure all for anything that ails you. They are suppressing our very own autonomic body systems. All this is blamed on the parents once again.
In one of the news updates their article criticized Obese children and they are stressing that the school lunch menu needs to change and that parents need to pack more healthier lunches. The things that I stressed what that not all children are obese. There are some children that attend our school systems that are underweight or that have other health problems. A mass conversion isn't the answer. Stop blaming the parents for the food choices. If you sat down and watched just a half hour show you would notice that there are up to 10 commercials that include or talk about food in one way or another. It doesn't matter if it is diet foods or not, it is still food. It's ridiculous. What do you think is going through the minds of the children who are watching them and adults for that matter. The advertisers are using Psychology to get us to buy those foods and they are using it to their advantage. They aren't thinking abut Obesity. They are thinking about profits and selling and money.
You used to hear about Child Psychology in the news alot and now you don't. All you see is Obese Children being plastered all over the place like they are some strange and interesting animal. What kind of message are we giving them by degrading them and putting them on display. Guilt trips are one thing but we are raising these children to be our future society. We are teaching them how to relate to others and themselves. We are teaching them about self-esteem.
What kind of people are they going to become? We are raising children to be our future. We better make a better effort as to what we want out of that future by what messages we are telling them today. Putting them on guilt trips is not the way to go. Blaming the parents is not the answer to what we seek either. That just puts more pressure on the parent's when the pressure should be rightfully put right back on those who took our school system and made it into some factory for technological advancement.

Childhood Development
We Have To Move This

The brain doesn't only learn by sitting in a classroom for 6-8 hours of the day. It learns and needs oxygen and movement in order to function properly. It needs movement to learn and to grow. One cannot sit in a classroom all day long and only get learning from books.
When searching for this type of stuff in school and such, I was amazed to find articles about not allowing your school to take out P.E., but I have known for quite a long time that they have already taken that program out many years ago. As stated above they did so to make better, smarter students in training our children to be better than other countries.
In my school years we got up and took our papers to the front of the room to the teachers. We also walked down the hall to the Principal's office to deliver things and some of us to get a talking to and we had P.E. Phys. Ed. was about getting your bodies to move and be healthy and active. Getting oxygen to the brain was important. It was also learning other cultures, customs and socialization. It was the perfect way to release tension and get the angries out and the muscles to grow properly. Talking was not permitted in a classroom unless you were asked a question and then you had to raise your hand to get chosen to answer it. We didn't learn socialization then, we learned it in Phys.Ed. and we learn it in our playtime with others. The brain needs this as well as the books.
Being spiritual and reading the Bible, now some of you don't get your panties in a bunch just by me mentioning this, BUT Jesus was the one who said that not everything thing is in a book. We need to expand our minds by our surroundings and get our bodies moving.
Get those kids up out of their seats 5 minutes before each class ends. Get them moving around the room. We Have To Move This (Music video and lyrics provided) to protect our children and to foster a more positive self image for them and for our future.
Good Morning America had a news spot on this and you can watch the video: Shrinking School Recess
